Mock test 5 of 6

DET Mock Test 5

Another complete sitting from the second bank, with its own reading sets, dictations and speaking prompts. Same difficulty range and the same scoring, so the score sits on the same scale as every other test.

  • About an hour, eight sections, run in the real order
  • All 13 question types — nothing here appears in the other five tests
  • Eight subscores and per-answer feedback the moment you finish

Mock Test 5 is a full sitting, not a sample. It opens with a short start screen — no camera, no permission prompts — then runs the eight sections in the order Duolingo runs them and ends with a scored report. Budget an uninterrupted hour, and have a microphone ready for the speaking section, where your browser asks for it.

Free for a limited time. No card, and no account needed to take it or to see your score.

Inside this test

What Mock Test 5 is built from

Eight sections, in the order you will meet them on the day. Everything in the right-hand column belongs to Mock Test 5 alone — none of it appears in the other five tests — and where a section draws from a pool, the engine picks what suits the level you are working at, so two people taking this test will not meet exactly the same items, or even the same number of them.

Where it fits

When to take Mock Test 5

Use it to confirm a trend after a change in how you practise. Two sittings that agree are worth more than one, and because it shares nothing with the other tests, agreement here means the improvement is real.

That order is a suggestion, not a requirement: the six tests are equated — a score means the same on each — so any of them can come first. What matters is leaving enough work between sittings for the next score to mean something.
